One year...

Today is Isn't that Sew's one year anniversary! I feel like it has taken me the entire year to sort of get into the groove of blogging. It has been an indecisive road to design and format, and it's still no where near where I'd like it to be. Though, I've mastered simple coding in the process! I am still learning the in's and out's & the do's & don'ts of the blogshere. I am still working through finding my blog "voice" and my blog "style". I am discovering who visits the blog vs. who sticks around for awhile. I am realizing what types of posts I am best at creating and I am working towards creating more of them. I've decided in the past dedicated more time to the blog, and now shop! It's been crazy and exciting to say the least and I still have a lot of work ahead of me.

I hope to take Isn't that Sew to a whole new level in year two with new, fresh ideas and an upcycled jewelry shop! I blog because I love it. I love taking photographs, sharing bits & pieces of my life with old friends and family back home, and the new one's I've met along the way through blogging. I love following your lives and blogs too. You are all such and inspiration and have helped me regain bits of myself that I've lost along the way. It's so rewarding to engage in a community of like minded folks. 

Starting this site really has helped me through our second year in Texas. I love living in Texas, and I will never look back. But, it can be tough being so far from where you grew up, close friends, and family and on top of that changing careers in my late 20's (Mark has also changed career paths). Mark and I still have a lot of work to do to plant roots and grow here in Texas. But, I wouldn't change a thing. So, thank you to all of you who have followed along on our journey. It' means a lot. Just know, you've all helped me in creating that journey. Thank you. -Ruth-
