Top 10 Favorite Beauty Products

Today, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite products. As well as why they are my favorite. I like to keep things simple as far as routines go. I also like to keep my use of products to a minimum. What can I say, I'm a low maintenance kind of gal. Check out my list below;

1. Favorite skincare product: Proactiv This stuff really does work! However, I must say, I hate the auto ship thing they have going on, so I prefer to purchase from my local kiosk. I get great mileage out of the large size bottles. I really like Proactiv simply because it is the only thing I have tried that keeps me blemish free.

2. Favorite Mineral foundation: Bare Minerals This make up is so light, it covers flawlessly, and you can't tell you are wearing makeup! Get's an A+ in my book. I've tried other mineral foundations, and Bare Minerals is definitely my favorite.

3. Favorite lib balm: Burt's Bees! In fact, I love everything Burt's Bees makes! This stuff is extra special though. Best. Lipbalm. Ever. Made. So, use it!

4. Favorite eye makeup: Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast. This eye shadow is perfect for a simple girl like me! It comes in a stick w/ two sides, a shimmer and a shadow. Genius! Need I say more?

5. Favorite essential oil: Melaleuca. Made from the melaleuca plant, better know as Tea Tree oil. This essential oil not only has an amazing smell, it is known for its natural soothing and cleansing properties, making it great for a first aid kit. I also use it to stimulate my scalp, to add fragrance to sugar body scrubs, and in my oil burner.

6. Favorite glasses cleaner: Bausch & Lomb Sight Savers. These little individually wrapped, per-moistened towelettes are perfect for on the go! My eyeglasses never seem to stay clean so I always carry around a few of these for a rainy day.

7. Favorite dental floss: Glide Dental Floss. Did you know this stuff is made from Gore-Tex? That is what makes it amazing! And since I've have 10 years experience in the dental field, you can consider me a professional! This stuff is incredible, glides right in and out and will never break!

8. Favorite flossing assistant: DenTek Easy Brushes.  I have a permanent retainer running from canine to canine on the maxillary and mandibular arches, so this tool is essential for those nights that I am far to lazy to use my floss threader. These little handy tools are great for on the go. I keep a couple in my purse for those awkward moments when somebody tells you, "You have..umm...a piece....of..uh...spinach, right there."

9. Favorite whitening product: Crest 3D White Strips. Don't be fooled, whitening agents won't harm your teeth, they are made from hydrogen peroxide. The only difference between whitening strips you buy over the counter and the professional whitenings is the hydrogen peroxide content. Trust me, you don't need the fancy blue light to whiten your teeth. Remember, I'm a professional. Really though, my personal opinion is to skip the professional whitening, and to use whitening strips on a per needed basis.

10.Favorite feminine product: Diva Cup. I won't go into detail about this product, because fact is, it grosses out most women. You can Google it if you don't know what they are. But, the fact of the matter is that I think with the pressing concerns about the environment and waste, we should start looking inward. No pun intended there. This fancy little product creates no waste that will fill up our landfills. And for the record, it's not that gross. Don't knock it till you try it! There are tons of menstrual cups on the market. You might have to try more than one before you find the perfect fit. And, for those of you who can't get over the cup idea, I highly recommend using a applicator free tampon. My motto is... Less waste. Better Place. Actually, I just made that up.

Okay, so I have more favorite products. But, these are by far my top ten must haves. I just have to give Wen a big shout out!!! I just started using this product in the last week and I'm loving it so far. Only time will tell, but right now.....Wen is kind of a big deal. Plus, I love their motto "friends don't let friends use shampoo." Go check out Wen hair care, you just might fall in love too!  -Ruth-

I've been really wanting a Dive cup but haven't made the plunge yet, I think you've convinced me the time is now.

Cheers.
