Cold Brew II - Japanese Iced Coffee

Japanese iced coffee
Iced coffee. I'm at it again, to find the perfect recipe for making Iced Coffee at home. I usually use this method for making cold brewed coffee. But, when I found this video by Counter Culture Coffee I was desperate to try it out for myself. I adapted method to be used for a drip coffee maker and I doubled up on the recipe. And guess what, it tasted awesome. And it was really easy. Check out the video and recipe below...

Japanese  Iced Coffee
16 ounces of water
2 ounces of Coffee
16 ounces of Ice

First, I ground the coffee in my conical burr grinder. I measured out two ounces of grounds and added them to the coffee maker as usual. Next, I measured out my water and ice. I added the ice directly to the coffee pot and filled the water tank as usual. I brewed the coffee and in a couple of minutes I had amazingly sweet iced coffee. I will definitely be doing this again! If you love coffee as much as I do, you should give it a try! -Ruth-
